Doublewide's painstaking weight loss surgury

For the last couple days I spent my lunch and bart time unbolding Doublewide. Making close parallel lines is always a pain with beziers. There are still a few lumps here an there.
While I was doing this, I used FontLab's interpolate tool on a few of the characters. Unfortunately, the tool is pretty unwieldy. It makes you control click on each point, if you want any kind of numeric control.
Instead I find it much faster to just "nudge" the points with the arrow keys (adding shift and command to go faster), all the while counting clicks to keep track of measurements.
Then I had an idea for the best of both worlds: Interpolated Nudge. I wrote it up in python and mapped left, right, up, down to the number keys. The result: fast measured accuracy, with beautiful tense curves as they stretch. I'll write more on this later.
